Land for Oil Palm, Land Area 7,900 Ha, for Sale in Katingan, Central Kalimantan

This land is in Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan, and is designated for an oil palm plantation. It is still bare and has not been planted.

The land currently covers 7,900 ha, out of an original permit area of 12,010 ha. Part of the area, 4,000 ha, was once requested by the regency government for rice field development. According to the seller, the rice fields have not been developed in more than seven years, so that area can be requested back. Around 650 ha is currently farmed by villagers, and the peat is 50 cm deep on average.

The land is permitted for oil palm, with its Plantation Business Permit (IUP) and Business Identification Number (NIB) complete. The area is classified as convertible production forest (HPK), with a small part as other-use land (APL). Boundary demarcation is complete, and the administration for releasing the area from HPK to APL is 80 percent done, with only the payment outstanding, so it has not yet been signed by the Ministry of Forestry. Land acquisition from the local community has not yet begun.
